Buying gifts for your significant other can be challenging, especially if you have been buying gifts for one another for years. I have compiled a list of gifts for the most important man in your child(ren)'s lives! I decided to search for items that were affordable but great quality. All brands are what my husband loves so I'm sure many of your men will love them as well. Happy shopping, and don't forget, Father's Day is only a couple of weeks away!   RIDGID Power Tool Set $119 -This 18 Volt, Lithium-Ion Cordless drill / driver comes with 2 batteries,...

I have been on Instagram for a little over one year, and what a year it has been! Let's back track for all of my new followers so I can give you all a quick recap of my journey on these squares. Instagram started out as a way for me to document our custom build. I wanted a way to showcase my design selections on a platform that wouldn't make my Facebook friends feel substandard, I wanted a place where I didn't feel like I was gloating - that was not my intent. So, I switched it up to the...

  • The Final Reveal - ORC Week 6

It is completely amazing what can be accomplished when you create a schedule, and stick to it! I am the type of person who prefers to wing it. I wing everything, from daily chores to food shopping, deciding what to post on Instagram to blogging. It's just my personality. • Wallpaper Makes The Heart Grow Fonder - ORC Week 5

What a week it has been! My husband and I have finished all of our tasks for the One Room Challenge, and let me tell you, we both could not be more thrilled, excited and proud of all of the hard work we put into this project. The best part of all, we didn't get on each other's nerves once! That in itself if a miracle and blessing on its own. HAHA. On a serious note though, we completed the wallpaper throughout the hallway and did a little paint job as a last minute added touch to the pantry. First,...

  • ORC - Week 4 - Over The Hump

I cannot believe that we are staring at the finish line with the One Room Challenge. What a smooth, and easy process this has been! It makes me want to refresh all of my bland and boring spaces in our home. (Although, I'm sure my husband would give me full blown death looks if he saw, or read, that statement.) Last week, was the completion of our 'midway point'. Now, that we have entered our fourth week of this incredible transformation, all that is left are the final, finishing touches. The first thing we completed at the beginning of week...

  • Master Bathroom Lighting Refresh

When we were building, my absolute favorite part was designing the interior of our home. When I say favorite part, I would do it all over again for the chance to design and decorate a home from the ground up. It was the single most amazing and exhilarating experience of my adult life. (The process actual got me thinking about my future and what I want to do with the rest of my life, designing - but that is a topic for another time) When it came to the point where I had to meet with our builder's interior designer,...
